PCIB 101 INSTRUCTOR
At this time we are not actively pooling applicants to become independently contracted instructors for PathwayConnect Courses offered as part of the BYU-Pathway program. We will update this page when we have an active need for instructors. PathwayConnect Courses are designed to help students learn foundational skills, build confidence, and develop spiritually.
So what does it mean when we say we are pooling applicants? Being in OSI’s contractor pool means you are eligible to be contracted as needs arise. The number of instructors we contract with each semester is dependent on many variables, such as student demand, instructor performance, and changes to course offerings. Prior to the beginning of each semester, we receive the final number of sections that we need to cover for that semester. We then go through an internal process to match sections to contractors from our contractor pool.
ABOUT THIS ROLE

In PCIB 101 – Life Skills, students discover how to use education to improve their lives by studying learning strategies, time and financial management, thinking errors, and talent development.
Independently contracted instructors mentor students and facilitate teaching and learning. They uphold the mission, values, and standards of OSI, BYU-Pathway Worldwide and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They support the BYU-Pathway Learning Model and participate in an online teaching group.
The majority of your time will be spent reading and giving substantive feedback to each instructor-graded assignment and promptly responding to any student questions or concerns.
As teaching opportunities for this course arise, pooled applicants selected for further review will be contacted with additional instructions.
