Employee safety is critical to the successful completion of any construction project. This course introduces students to OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as construction safety and health principles.
Introduces students to the Revenue Cycle and how it affects the payment of services involved in the medical industry, as well as HIPAA laws and violations. Topics include collecting patient demographics, types of insurance plans, claim form submission, patient billing, third party payments, denials, and collections.
Students are trained in the basic principles of project management: scope, schedule, and budget. Additional concepts explored and practiced in this course include stakeholder management and project control.
In this introduction to the TESOL Certificate, student will learn the essential theories and practice basic principles of teaching English as a foreign language. The course will cover topics related to language teaching methods and approaches, principles of language acquisition, four-skill instruction, and curriculum design and materials evaluation.
This is an overview course of family development across the lifespan including the study of the family as a system, family interaction, family issues, and family roles. The course will emphasize the relationship of the family and its environment.
This course is an introduction to agencies, facilities, and programs playing a role in the prevention of disease and the promotion of health in the community. Special emphasis is placed on the competencies needed for community health professionals and health educators to function in a variety of community and teaching settings.
