Grader Opportunities
A Grader is an important part of the worldwide block instructional team. Graders apply their skill and subject matter expertise in assessing student work by properly utilizing program-developed rubrics and feedback templates and diligently following outlined policies and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent grading, actionable feedback, and timely turnaround times. The responsibilities of graders are as follows:
- Meet rigorous department certification criteria to show mastery of content to be assessed
- Apply university and department-level procedures and materials in evaluating student work (including use of rubrics and department created and maintained feedback templates) to ensure feedback meets established accuracy and quality standards
- Use authoritative content expertise to respond quickly to student questions and concerns about assignment scoring and coordinate with appropriate supervisors for quick resolution and fair determination of student performance

Accounting Grader
Accounting Graders may be assigned to two courses on accounting principles: BUS 180 Cash Accounting and ACCTG 180 Survey of Accounting. Qualified individuals could also grade for BUS 115 Business Applications, an Excel course.
BUS(PC) 115 – Introduction to Business Applications
In this course, students will acquire, develop and apply intermediate spreadsheet analysis skills in a business context as well as demonstrate basic database use.
Communication and Organizational Effectiveness Grader
Graders may be assigned to three courses that concentrate on the principles and skills necessary to effectively communicate with others. Comm 150 Interpersonal Theory and Practice, Comm 175 Communication Essentials, and BUS 321 Organizational Effectiveness.
Computer Programming Grader
Computer programming graders may be assigned to four courses that provide students with foundational computer programming skills enabling them to contribute on software development teams.
Entrepreneurship Grader
Entrepreneurship graders support BUS 116, BUS 117, BUS 118, and BUS 119. In these courses, students learn how to start, grow, and strengthen a small business.
Finance and Economics Grader
Finance and Economics graders support three courses that focus on financial and economic principles including FIN 300 Business Finance, FIN 301 Financial Management, and ECON 100 Essentials of Economics.
General Public Health Grader
Grading support for the following introductory-level public health courses: PUBH 240 – Introduction to Public Health, NURS 105 – Introduction to Nursing, PUBH 480 – Global Health, PUBH 401 – Community Health Methods, PUBH 420 – Health Behavior Theories and Models, and PUBH 472 – Health Communications
Marketing Grader
Marketing graders will be assigned to MKT 120. In this course, students will gain an understanding of marketing principles and the fundamentals of professional sales.
PathwayConnect Team Grader
PathwayConnect Team Graders provide support for PCIB-101 Life Skills and PCIB 102 – Professional Skills courses by providing accurate feedback on students’ assignments to help them understand where they did well or where they might need improvement.
