DMPC 105 – INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL MARKETING

We are currently pooling applicants to become independently contracted instructors for Gateway Courses offered as part of the BYU-Pathway program. These courses are typically taken together with PCI 103 as students plan their certificates and degrees. So what does it mean when we say we are pooling applicants? Being in OSI’s contractor pool means you are eligible to be contracted as needs arise. The number of instructors we contract with each semester is dependent on many variables, such as student demand, instructor performance, and changes to course offerings. Prior to the beginning of each semester, we receive the final number of sections that we need to cover for that semester. We then go through an internal process to match sections to contractors from our contractor pool.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

This course introduces students to the field of social media marketing. Students learn about its history and how it affects their personal and professional future. They learn the structure, design, technology, and pros and cons of numerous social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube Google+ and others.

They explore how social commerce is now interconnected to multiple aspects of business and build a foundation of knowledge of how companies use social media for marketing, analytics, customer service and more. Students also establish a continuous learning pattern to stay current with the ever-changing world of social technologies

Independently contracted instructors mentor students and facilitate teaching and learning. They uphold the mission, values, and standards of OSI, BYU-Pathway Worldwide and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They support the BYU-Pathway Learning Model and participate in an online teaching group.

The majority of your time will be spent reading and giving substantive feedback to each instructor-graded assignment and promptly responding to any student questions or concerns.

As teaching opportunities for this course arise, pooled applicants selected for further review will be contacted with additional instructions.
